One of the most notable special features of this mosque is the impact of the transparent, grand glass doors on those entering the Main Prayer Hall.

Traditionally, the entrance to religious buildings is in sturdy wood or metal, giving the feeling of protection, enclosure and privacy. In this case, the client’s instructions were to create maximum transparency and visibility.

The design for the door panels forms part of the patterns that distinguish all the internal finishes. The structure is in steel and aluminium, highlighted with transparent glass mosaic flowers in various colours and shades. The lower wall part is dressed in engraved marble, while an impressive new technique was employed for the upper wall section. Here, flower inlay was formed from precious stone, and marble was inserted in a marmorino surface without joints. The use of different techniques by Fantini Mosaici, and the variation on the lower geometry theme, enhance the design quality and result in excellence.
