Main Prayer

The Main Prayer Hall interior was created by Fantini Mosaici from approximately 2,500 panels. These came in pieces of 250 x 250 cm, and in different shapes and flowers with different finishings.
The five-petal flowers were derived from the pentagon, while the geometry, based on the five- pointed star and pentagon, was used primarily to develop the wall area patterns, as requested in the client’s design brief. The main reference was Islamic traditional patterns, using the pentagon, with a modern interpretation achieved through a complex combination of materials and finish.
